It is completely normal to have curiosity, seek or desire connection with what is beyond our physical work. A gentle mediumship session is a great way to do that. Whether you’re considering your first session or simply curious about how mediumship works, understanding the process can help you approach it with clarity, openness, and grounded expectations.
What Is Mediumship?
Mediumship is the practice of receiving information from the spirit world and relaying it to the living. A medium acts as an intermediary, tuning into subtle energies, impressions, emotions, or messages. These messages often focus on healing, reassurance, guidance or comfort. Instead, it’s about connection, validation, and emotional understanding.
People come to mediumship sessions for many reasons, including:
Seeking comfort after the loss of a loved one
Looking for reassurance that their loved ones a at peace
Wanting closure or emotional healing
Exploring spiritual beliefs and personal growth
Feeling curious about life beyond the physical world
What Happens During a Mediumship Session?
After booking a session you will receive a confirmation email. I will call you at the time of the start of your appointment. Sessions are done over the phone. The session often begins with a brief grounding or intention-setting. If it is our first session together I will briefly explain the process. I encourage questions during sessions. We may start off with your questions or messages might start to come through right away.
What Mediumship Feels Like
A mediumship session can be emotional, peaceful, surprising, or deeply comforting. Some people cry, others laugh, and many feel a sense of relief or calm afterward. There’s no correct emotional response. This a gentle space.
How to Prepare for a Session
You don’t need to do anything elaborate. A few simple steps can help:
Come with an open, relaxed mindset
Avoid specific expectations about who “should” come through
Stay hydrated and rested
Set a personal intention, such as healing or clarity
Most importantly, allow the experience to unfold naturally.
After the Session
After a mediumship session, it’s common to reflect deeply. You might replay certain messages, feel emotional shifts, or notice subtle changes in your perspective. Journaling, resting, or talking with a trusted friend can help integrate the experience.
Mediumship isn’t meant to replace your own intuition or emotional process—it’s meant to support it.
Final Thoughts
Mediumship sessions are not about proving anything. They are about connection, love, and the human longing to understand what lies beyond. When approached with discernment and an open heart, they can offer profound comfort and insight.
